Building a House!

So after months of looking at houses, submitting contracts on 3, and getting outbid every single time, we have decided to build a house! We signed the contract with the builder today, and I am so excited to get the process started! We are building the house just like the last house we bid on with a few minor changes here and there (different tile on the fireplace, ledge on the island in the kitchen for bar stools, etc.). I think it will be a wonderful learning experience for all of us on the process of building a house. It will also teach us how to be very, very patient! I plan on taking weekly progress pictures of the building process, so check back often to keep up! Our lot is on a semi cul-de-sac (basically, a half cul-de-sac located off the main road) in an awesome subdivision. Currently, the subdivision has walking trails and a playground. I'm hoping they will build a clubhouse soon! Anyway, we plan on building a fire pit/fireplace in the back yard and maybe indulging Ryan in a fort. We are aiming for the house to be completed in June, so plan on coming by to visit us this summer so we can show you our beautiful home!
