Week 5: Walls and Roof

This week they put up the walls and roof! The structure of the house is finally coming together. Because we are so ahead of schedule, the builder has moved up the completion date to the beginning of May! He said they would start the brickwork this week, and they would work on the floors next week. I love watching our house take shape, and I can't wait to move in. We rented a storage unit last week so we can store all of our stuff until the house is completed. Our lease is up on April 2nd, so the next two weeks will be full of packing, moving, and cleaning. Ryan is ecstatic about moving in with Nana for a month or two (probably because she is nicer than me). The house right behind ours recently sold, and I was able to meet our super sweet neighbor. She is also a nurse, and she has a 15-year-old daughter (hello, babysitter!). She seems like she will be a great neighbor to have! She also let me tour her house to get a few ideas for mine.
